Ontario Bottlers & Dairies Index: Antique Bottles by Town
Share
A photo index of antique and vintage bottles from Ontario bottlers, dairies, breweries and pharmacies, sorted by the town on the glass. Every piece here has come through the KG Novelties warehouse in Wooler, Ontario, and was photographed by us. Bottles we still have link to their listing; sold ones stay in the index as a reference.
88 bottles from 32 towns · updated October 2026
Reading the glass
- Embossed: the bottler's name and town are raised in the glass itself.
- ACL (applied colour label): the label is painted on and fired into the glass. On Canadian milk bottles this is usually called Pyroglaze.
- Hutchinson: a soda bottle sealed by a rubber stopper on a wire loop inside the neck.
- Torpedo or round-bottom: made to lie on its side so the cork stayed wet.
