A genuine 1938 Ontario passenger vehicle license plate bearing the registration number '4L4'. This cast metal plate features the iconic Ontario design with embossed lettering and the characteristic passenger vehicle format of the era. The plate shows authentic weathering and patina consistent with its age and outdoor exposure.

The upper plate displays the distinctive stylized fish emblem and 'ONTARIO' text in bold relief, while the lower plate bears a British crown—reflecting Canada's Commonwealth status during the 1930s—along with the registration number. Both plates retain their original casting marks and mounting holes.

A wonderful piece of Canadian automotive history and Canadiana memorabilia for the serious collector. The condition shows honest use and age, making it an authentic and desirable example from the pre-war period.
