This charming vintage 16 oz glass jar is branded "Rose Brand Selected Sweet Mixed Pickle" and dates to the 1940s. The jar features a classic embossed design with decorative vertical panels typical of Depression-era glassware, and retains its original paper label depicting a vibrant red rose alongside product information.

The jar is a wonderful example of mid-century kitchen marketing and packaging design. The base is embossed "MATTHEWS WELLS & CO. EST. 1890" and clearly marked with the product type and contents notation. The glass is clear and in good condition, though the label shows appropriate age-related wear consistent with a genuine period piece.

Perfect for collectors of vintage kitchenalia, Depression glass, advertising memorabilia, or those seeking authentic period storage containers for cottage-style or farmhouse décor. A functional piece of culinary history that speaks to home food preservation traditions.
