A remarkable piece of medical history: an Edison and Johnson Resuscitator-Inhalator-Aspirator in its original hard case, dating to the 1940s. This complete vintage apparatus includes the dual-bellows mechanical pump system with original rubber tubing, glass and metal fittings, and all internal components intact. The instruction placard is clearly visible and legible, detailing operating procedures for resuscitation treatment.
The trunk itself is a beautiful example of mid-century luggage craftsmanship, featuring dark brown canvas with metal corner reinforcements, brass latches, and dual leather handles. Dimensions are 26.5" × 16" × 10". The interior includes suction cups, control valves, and the complete mechanical assembly as originally manufactured—a fully functional piece ready for display or collection.
A striking artifact for medical antique collectors, vintage equipment enthusiasts, or those interested in the evolution of emergency medical technology. The condition reflects honest age and use, with wonderful patina throughout.
