A charming 1940s Northern Electric Model 5000 "Baby Champ" AM tube radio in white painted bakelite. This compact radio features the iconic streamlined Art Deco design typical of the era, with elegant curved ribbing on the front and an integrated dial tuner face. Made in Canada by Northern Electric Company Limited in Montreal, the set operates on 110/25 volts at 30 watts.

The radio is equipped with period tube locations marked on the back panel and displays proper safety labeling including a caution to disconnect the supply cord before removing the back. The dial face shows frequency markings from 55 to 150 with clearly visible numerals. This is a tested, working example that captures the nostalgic charm of early 20th-century domestic radio design.

A wonderful addition to any collection of vintage electronics, Canadiana, or mid-century home décor. The bakelite construction and hand-painted finish show appropriate patina consistent with age and use.
