This pair of O gauge railway signals is made of lithographed tin and metal, with black lattice masts, cream triangle detailing and rivet dots. Each signal has a red and green light head and a large red-edged semaphore arm, set on a stone-patterned base with red trim.

The base of one piece is marked MADE IN U.S. ZONE GERMANY in red print, which places them in the immediate post-war years. The bases show light wear and scuffing, and the lamp heads and arms are in good shape. The original tin is well preserved for its age.

These make a charming addition to a vintage layout, a shelf display or a collection of railroadiana. Both signals stand firmly and show the character typical of early German tin toys.
