This authentic 1920s brass Chinese street vendor noodle cart is a remarkable piece of culinary and cultural history. The portable vendor cart features a distinctive tiered design with a large top reservoir for holding noodles or broth, decorative brass doors with ornamental cutout patterns on the middle section, and glass panels for display. The cart comes complete with its original carrying handle, a small cylindrical cup, and additional brass components.
Crafted from heavy brass and metal construction, the cart showcases the skilled metalwork typical of early 20th-century Asian manufacturing. The decorative door fronts feature elegant geometric and floral cutout designs, with brass hardware details. This piece would have been used by street vendors to transport and sell noodles throughout Chinese communities.
Please note: The seller indicates that 2 panes of glass are broken and an inner support is detached. This is reflected in the pricing and is typical wear for a piece of this age and use. An excellent opportunity for collectors of Asian antiques, culinary history, or cultural artifacts.
