This substantial vessel showcases the distinctive aesthetic of Cizhou pottery, with cream-colored slip decoration against a natural stoneware body. The jar features bold, hand-painted black brushwork including decorative scalloped bands and delicate fern-like botanical motifs arranged in a rhythmic pattern around the vessel.
