This is an authentic antique Renfrew cream separator, a beautifully preserved example of early 20th-century dairy equipment. The cast-iron machine features the iconic large bowl at the top, mechanical drive system with foot pedal, and perforated separator disc below—all the hallmarks of this Canadian-made classic. The weathered patina and visible maker's markings speak to decades of genuine farmstead use.
Cream separators like this one were essential tools on dairy farms, efficiently separating cream from milk through centrifugal force. The Renfrew brand was highly regarded for durability and craftsmanship. This particular model retains excellent structural integrity with all major components present, including the operating lever, gear wheel assembly, and base plate with graduated measurement holes.
A wonderful piece for the serious collector of agricultural antiques, vintage kitchen equipment, or Canadiana. Ideal for display in a farmhouse, cottage, or industrial-styled space, or as part of a dairy memorabilia collection.
