This vintage carved stone chess set pairs a glossy black marble board with a pink-and-white stone board and matching hand-carved pieces. The stepped, totem-like figures have an Aztec-inspired look, and the black and light sets are both shown in the photos.
The set appears complete, with all 32 pieces visible on the board. Some surface wear, dust and light marks show in the photos, consistent with age and display. Each piece is carved in relief, with layered bases and angular faces.
A striking display piece for collectors of carved stone, folk-style decor and vintage games. The board and stone pieces are heavy and fragile, so local pickup is preferred.
