An antique Edgeworth Extra Plug Slice tobacco tin from Larus & Bro. Co. of Richmond, Virginia. The rectangular metal tin has a blue-green painted exterior with bold lettering reading EDGEWORTH, EXTRA, HIGH GRADE, PLUG SLICE, SMOKING TOBACCO, and the maker's name and location, with decorative scrollwork around the lid.

The lid has a gold-toned interior printed with a message to consumers about Edgeworth Tobacco and a guarantee of satisfaction, framed with a small leaf-and-tree illustration. The interior still has its original paper-lined base. Wear, rust spots, and paint loss are visible throughout, consistent with age and use.

A great piece for tobacciana collectors, advertising tin fans, or anyone who likes display pieces with early American graphics.
