This vintage Record 413 drill press vise is cast iron with its original blue paint, now worn in places with rust showing on the jaws and base. The body is marked Record 413 and Made in England, and the base has slotted mounting holes for bolting it down.
The jaws close on a threaded screw with a flat turning handle, and the sliding jaw moves smoothly along the body. It's a sturdy clamp for drill press work, woodworking, metalwork or any bench job that needs a firm hold.
Heavy and solid, this is a classic British tool with plenty of working life left. Pickup is preferred because of its weight.
