A two imperial gallon tin of Autolene Motor Oil, made by The British American Oil Company Limited. The dark green body carries the red and white BA roundel and the bold cream lettering, and the label reads "Net Contents 2 Imperial Gallons". The carry handle and screw cap are present.

The tin shows honest age: scuffs, rust spots and grime along the seams and top, with some paint loss at the edges. The side panel still carries red text describing it as a high quality straight mineral oil for internal combustion engines.

A classic piece of petroliana for a garage, workshop or man cave display. Dirt has been left as found, so the wear is part of its character.
