This antique hay saw has a long, hand-forged metal blade with a serrated edge that tapers toward the tip. It is mounted on a bent metal frame with two worn wooden grip handles, one on the top arm and one on the end of the frame.
Hay saws like this were used on the farm to cut through bales and other dense material. The dark patina, forged surfaces and weathered wood show plenty of age and honest use, with some surface rust and wear in the photos.
A great piece for barn decor, a farmhouse display or a collection of rustic hand tools. Please review the photos carefully before purchase.
