This wooden and canvas stretcher carries St. John Ambulance markings on its canvas and wooden handle ends, and the frame is stamped MK11 with 1943 DL on the rails. It folds for storage and transport, with canvas straps and metal hardware still in place.
The canvas shows age, staining and handling wear, and the wood has darkened with use. It is a substantial piece of wartime medical equipment and would suit a militaria or medical history collection, or a display as a conversation piece.
