This antique Singer sewing machine treadle base is built from heavy cast iron with a black finish and an openwork pattern of scrolls and loops along each side. A gold-tone SINGER nameplate sits across the top of the frame, and the treadle pedal is still intact with its own open lattice design.
The base shows honest age, including scuffs and some wear to the finish, and it is offered without a sewing head or table top. It would make a striking base for a rustic table, bench or industrial-style display piece.
