This antique post hole digger has a clamshell-style pair of curved steel blades on a long metal shaft, topped with a wooden T-handle. The cast collar on the handle joint is stamped with a patent date of July 16, 1907, along with a patent number, which helps date this heavy-duty farm tool.
The metal shows an even, tan-brown rust patina and some surface wear, consistent with age and outdoor use. The blades are intact and the wooden handle is solid and weathered to a silvery grey. Its sturdy construction and clear patent markings make it a strong piece for a farm display or a rustic garden or barn setting.
Due to its length and weight, this digger is pickup only. Please contact us with any questions about its condition or to arrange a viewing.
