A vintage Pyrene brass fire extinguisher made by the Pyrene Manufacturing Company of Canada Limited in Toronto. The label reads .833 Imperial (One U.S.) Quart, carbon tetrachloride, with operating instructions, a maintenance and warning panel, and an Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada listing for a Class 1/2-B,C vaporizing liquid extinguisher.
The brass body has ribbed banding, a chrome-finished locking clamp and a T-handle with PYRENE cast into both arms. The label is clear and readable. The brass shows patina, scratches and a few dents and spots, so it fits best as a display or shelf piece.
This extinguisher is sold full and cannot be shipped, so it is available for pickup only.
