A stunning original 1952 theatrical one-sheet poster for "Tread Softly," a crime drama featuring a backstage killer and crime of passion. Released by 20th Century-Fox, this 27" × 41" poster showcases the bold graphic design aesthetic of classic Golden Age Hollywood promotion, with striking black-and-white typography contrasting against a deep red background.
The poster features dramatic imagery including a striking portrait of the lead actor and a clenched fist clutching what appears to be a theatrical prop, emphasizing the film's dramatic tension. The tagline "Real! Tense! Startling!" exemplifies the hyperbolic yet effective marketing approach of 1950s cinema. Stars Frances Day, John Bentley, and Patricia Dainton.
Presented flat and unfolded, this vintage theatrical poster is an exceptional example of mid-century movie memorabilia and graphic design. A rare find for film historians, poster collectors, and lovers of classic Hollywood ephemera.
