This vintage cast iron pot is marked Lagostina, the Italian cookware maker, with an engraved script logo and an L size mark on the base. It has a deep, rounded body and two sturdy loop handles, so it is easy to lift and carry even when full.

The interior shows a dark, seasoned look with some rust spotting and patina, and the exterior has an aged brown finish with rust on the lower edges. It has no lid. Cast iron like this is great for stews, braises, soups and cooking over a campfire or open fire.

A solid piece for a rustic kitchen or a collector of older cookware. Clean and re-season it before use, and it will be ready for many more years of cooking.
